About Jenny Mackenzie, Ph.D., L.C.S.W.

Jenny Mackenzie holds a bachelors degree from Brown University, an MSW from Simmons College, and a Ph.D. from the University of Utah. After 20 years on the front lines as a social worker helping to run nonprofit organizations, she went back to film school to pursue one of her life long passions- documentary film making.

Jenny’s first film, “Where’s Herbie” is an award winning portrait of a 91-year-old working lobsterman who shares his philosophy on life, death, and the risks of retirement. Jenny resides in Salt Lake City, Utah with her husband Chip, their three daughters, and their 12-pound Cairn terrier, Lulu.
